Descrizione
John Gallagher wrote a compelling article on August 12, 2019, in the Detroit Free Press that details that issues facing black-owned firms when seeking contracts in the city of Detroit....
mostra di piùGallagher points to three reasons why black-owned firms are not getting these contracts:
1. Cost of verification and certification (i.e., proving that they are minority-owned firms);
2. Cost of integrating into the vendor management system; and
3. Doubts about capacity.
In this episode, I pick up where Gallagher leaves off and I try to find the root cause as to why black-owned firms are not competing with their white counterparts. The simple answer is - WE ARE THE ROOT CAUSE. Please listen to get an understanding as to why I make this declaration.
