Christmas is here but where is the Christmas Spirit? The stock market has none if it's customary seasonal sparkle and instead is in free fall. Media obsesses about lip reading Jeremy Corbyn who's comment if it had used the word 'man' instead of 'woman' would have remained nestled in obscurity instead of being exhumed by the crane of political correctness. Furthermore is Britain resting on imaginary laurels of having been a super power and is this preventing this once fiercely proud nation from rebuilding it's identity and success once more? Sale time round Christmas and a feeding frenzy of materialism actually does little to rebuild family and community. Self obsession needs to be replaced by care for others. For instance ,are millionaires happy? Apparently only if they double their money. No mention of family or community. Yet most of us aspire to their status. Merry Christmas!
