DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 43
We live in a broken world. We see wars among the nations, strife in our communities, and even dissension in our churches. Our personal journeys are filled with trials and challenges at times. Where is God in it all? As the Bible tells us, He is our light of truth, leading us through the brokenness with hope. He is our refuge to take shelter in. He is our strength.

God’s light and truth are a constant guide during difficult times. In the darkness and uncertainty of this night, ask God to guide you now to a place where you can dwell safely in Him and release your worries into His care.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION:
John 8:12 describes Jesus as the light of the world. In the darkness of the night, He will faithfully guide you with His light to a safe, secure place where your mind, body, and soul can rest. Lift up your concerns to Him and allow His truth to lighten your heart and bring comfort to your soul.

CONFESSION:
Confess any fears and worries that are keeping you up tonight, giving them over to God. Ask Him to forgive you for not trusting in Him more. Receive His mercy and grace as you completely surrender to Him and put your trust in Him tonight.

THANKSGIVING:
Praise God for His strength. Thank Him for the times He has been faithful to you in your life and for the times He has sustained you through difficult moments.

SUPPLICATION:
Father, I pray now over the worries I hold on to and the lack of faith I allow into my heart. Please soothe my soul and take my anxieties. Help me to find rest in Your care. Be my refuge, my strong tower on which I can stand and remain safe. In Jesus’ name, I lift up this prayer. Amen.

PRAYER

PSALM 26:8
Dear Lord, as the days accumulate, so do the opportunities for sin. I want to walk with integrity before You and trust You without wavering. I pray that You would test my heart and search my mind tonight. Explore the chasms of my soul and cast out corruption from within. I want to make my bed in Your truth and comfort my soul with Your love. Saturate me in Your word, and keep it on my mind as I close my eyes to sleep. Search me and sanctify me according to Your love and truth. Redeem the parts of me that do not glorify You, and set my feet on solid ground. As I blissfully slip into slumber, I trust You will work Your perfect will in me. In Jesus’ name I earnestly pray, Amen.
