In this episode passionate NZ Hoops fan and PhD researcher Linden Moore hailing from Pleasanton in the Bay Area of Northern California is doing her doctorate around NZ women’s basketball at the Auckland University of Technology (AUT).
Linden is currently on the ground in Auckland and living the dream of following the new historic Tauihi Aotearoa League in its first season and its impact amongst locals and hoops fans that have waited too long for this groundbreaking , pay parity women’s league.
She gives us an overview of the teams, the coaches and the players in an episode recorded on the eve of the the first game held in Christchurch at a packed Cowles Stadium between home team Mainland Pouakai and Southern Hoiho.
Then we slip into WNBL Free Agency and get into the ‘oh so slow drip feed of WNBL signings’ since our last update.
