Rambo: First Blood Part 2 is an action movie with an identity crisis. The real battle happens between the film's two credited writers: Sly and Jimmy Cameron. This movie doesn't ever fully commit to what it wants to be or what it wants to comment on, instead choosing to lean heavily on signs and signifiers of good and evil. A far cry from the morally amorphous, deep and intense emotional exploration of the first film. Rambo 2 does ultimately deliver on some excellent and compelling mindless action. The bros are joined once again by 3rd host Leila who provides her usual profound insight and lolz hottakes. Not an episode to miss!
