In this first part of a bumper episode, we’re thrilled to spotlight the most valuable member of any professional women's sports team - the fan!
Welcome back to Shooting The Breeze as Series 4 returns after the festive season.
In Series 3 Episode 69 we featured Justin Nelson, Head of Commercial & Events at Sky Sport, who brilliantly conveyed the value of the fan and how vital their inclusion is in the evolution of the sport.
So, we spoke to them!
Joining our host's Paul Camillos and Jacinta Govind we welcome a small and dedicated panel of WNBL super fans and Shooting The Breeze listeners, Claire Nimmo from Victoria, Lily Pedvin from Canberra and Nick Walker from Sydney for an honest and insightful double-feature podcast.
It was a huge discussion, our biggest podcast and maybe most important to date. We recorded this in early January, giving us a real glimpse into the hearts and minds of our super fans and their view of professional women's basketball in Australia.
We are grateful to our passionate fan panel, and hope this opens conversations for fans and clubs to benefit the future of the game.
