New threats loom after the Biden Administration's failures concerning the US withdrawal of Afghanistan, not the least of which is the potential for China to either forcefully or diplomatically move into the nation and create ties with the new Taliban government.
Chinese influence in the Central Asian nation not only give the CCP strong presence at a globally strategic location, but potential control over Afghanistan rich natural resources, including coveted Rare Earth materials (the latter of which China is said to have control of 80-90% of the world's supply). This could have severe implications in technological advancement, economics and overall political power for President Xi and his party.

Our panel:
LTC (Ret) Tony Shaffer - President, London Center for Policy Research
