Nick is a philosopher, a serial social entrepreneur and celebrated inspirational speaker who has has given keynotes to audiences all around the globe. He received a triple 1st (summa cum laude) degree from Cambridge University in medicine and philosophy of human science. His forté is in sharing scientific, philosophical, psychological and practical nuggets that help people change their beliefs, behaviours and ideas so that they can truly flourish. He is the creator of Breakthrough Dynamics and the author of Switch On: Unleash Your Creativity & Thrive with the New Science & Spirit of Breakthrough. He has been Featured in The Times, Huffington Post, MTV, BBC, TEDx, and has worked with the likes of Microsoft, Governments, Nike, Disney, Pepsi, Unilver and Diageo to name just a few. Through his book, countless appearances on TV, radio and print media he has helped millions of people all around the globe.


In This Episode:

I ask Nick the reason why he wrote his latest book ‘Switch On’ and why it took him a decade to do so.
Nick never wanted or intended to be a spiritual teacher and was in fact a devout atheist for years. However he explains the problems with the atheist model in his opinion.
“There’s no where within the Bhagavad Gita or the Tao Te Ching…no where in any of them that says you have to wear tie dye shirts, or you have to live on a farm, or eat vegan”
We discuss the importance of each of us finding and living a life that is true and authentic to oneself.
Nick explains how he was in a dark place, suffered from depression and believed there was no truth or meaning to anything in the world, before realising he had a ‘choice’, he had the choice whether to accept this or not.
He explains what the most important and fundamental lesson he’s ever learnt in his life is.

Nick describes how we can’t have any lasting positive change in our lives unless we heal emotional pains and traumas within first.
