Today’s episode is going to address leadership, our character, values, and what defines us. You will ask and answer the question of what defines you.
We talk about leaders and leadership, but do we truly know what leadership is and what it means to be a leader? If you look in a dictionary for the definition of leadership it will only confuse you. We usually think of certain traits and characteristics when we hear the word leader. We think of the men and women that we admire.
You don’t become a great or even a good leader overnight. It takes a few or a lot of rounds in life’s boxing ring. When you look at yourself what do you think that other people think and say about you? Would they follow you? Do they follow you? Beyond the social media following?
In this episode we discuss and explore everything from the highs and lows in leadership during this COVID-19 pandemic, the trending scandals, and how individuals and businesses are addressing and leading in response to racism and bigotry. We talk about a Baton Rouge pastor defying state law to open his church during the pandemic, CEOs and executives risking their companies millions of dollars due comments made about the stockpiling crises in the US, and we share common examples of unethical practices that some people don't see as a violation of ethics and morals. You may pause when you hear an example of something that you or someone that you know also have done. It may make you question your ethics, morals, values, and character.
