Jennifer Laderman and Jed Laderman are the daughter and son of television and film writer and producer Fred Laderman, known professionally as Fred Ladd, who was responsible for introducing anime to the Americas. Ladd adapted Astro Boy, Gigantor, Kimba the White Lion, Sailor Moon, and other Japanese animated series for English-language television.
