Juliet Burnett a woman I have yet to meet in person and I am really looking forward to that day hopefully soon. As I have re-listened to this episode and as I share it here with you I am filled with gratitude to have this woman as a mentor in my life. Her perspective on cultural reflections within the systemic overhaul in the ballet industry and the parallels we are seeing today with Black Lives Matter and the Corona Virus has revealed the lack of vulnerability in authoritarian roles of all participants in what we currently view as Leadership. The dictatorship we see within the ballet world is what creates those beautiful full length ballets, but at the same time it forces a restrained outlook on life for the individual in those roles. Juliet states," What have we done to get us here and where are we going."
