In this sudden and unanticipated episode of Up Is Down I had the wild opportunity to talk with philosopher, futurist Mr. Zoltan Istvan, the founder of the Transhumanist Movement.

All I did was reach out to him and he not only responded positively to my request for an interview, he jumped on the opportunity to speak with me having no idea who I am, what I believe in, or what I do with my podcast.
That's more than I can say for ANY of the contenders for the 2020 title of President Elect.

Zoltan is quite possibly the most interesting and fearless person I have ever come across. We have very, very little in common outside of our love of people and the earth, but we had the greatest conversation about the state of the world, international conflict, the world of American politics, the future of technology, and the "disease of death and dying".

Zoltan has a very unique approach to a Universal Basic Income, which is one of three major platforms he's running on. This is not his first time in the political rodeo, having previously run for Governor of the state of California and also for the President in 2016

Though naturally Libertarian, Zoltan is running for the Republican ticket. He explains why in our talk, among other incredibly interesting things during our conversation.
