Tonight’s episode of We Can Help with Dave & Woody moves from the serious to the downright bizarre—as only Dave & Woody can.

The guys open with a difficult subject involving recent accusations connected to the Sigma Chi chapter at Penn State. As proud Sigma Chi alumni, Dave and Woody discuss the disappointment that comes when the alleged actions of a few cast a shadow over an entire brotherhood, while emphasizing the importance of allowing the legal process to run its course.

More importantly, the conversation becomes a broader discussion about character, accountability and recruitment. Dave argues that fraternity recruitment should never become simply a numbers game. The Jordan Standard, Sigma Chi Creed and the principles upon which the Fraternity was founded should remain at the center of deciding who is invited into the brotherhood. Membership carries an obligation to those who came before—and to those who will wear the letters long after today's undergraduates have graduated. 

From there, things become considerably more Dave & Woody. Woody delivers some unexpected tennis-ball trivia—including why they're yellow—before the guys explore one of the strangest chapters in medical history: the 18th-century practice of using tobacco smoke enemas in attempts to revive drowning victims, and its oft-repeated connection to the expression “blowing smoke up your ass.”

Then it's time for What Am I Drinking?, where Dave mixes a Perfect Old Fashioned using Old Forester 100 Proof and Old Forester Perfect Old Fashioned Syrup—a simple, home-bar-friendly approach to one of America's classic cocktails.
