Story Transcript:

Ro: Pe o stradă aglomerată din București, sub un cer care începea să se întunece, Ana și Mihai au intrat în același bloc impunător de birouri.
En: On a crowded street in Bucharest, under a sky starting to darken, Ana and Mihai entered the same imposing office building.

Ro: Cu ochii în telefon, ei nici nu s-au observat când au pășit în lift.
En: With their eyes on their phones, they didn't even notice each other as they stepped into the elevator.

Ro: Într-o clipă, lumina se stinge și liftul se oprește brusc.
En: In an instant, the lights went out and the elevator abruptly stopped.

Ro: Ana privește în jur alarmată, încercând să-și dea seama ce se întâmplă.
En: Ana looked around, alarmed, trying to figure out what was happening.

Ro: Mihai, la fel de surprins, scoate telefonul să folosească lanterna, dar nu avea baterie.
En: Equally surprised, Mihai took out his phone to use the flashlight, but it was out of battery.

Ro: În întuneric, ei se uitau unul la altul, fără niciun cuvânt.
En: In the darkness, they looked at each other without a word.

Ro: Ana încearcă să apese pe butoanele liftului, dar nimic nu se întâmplă.
En: Ana tried to press the elevator buttons, but nothing happened.

Ro: Mihai observă și el, dar nu poate să vorbească.
En: Mihai noticed it too but couldn't speak.

Ro: Voia să râdă, dar situația era serioasă.
En: He wanted to laugh, but the situation was serious.

Ro: Într-un final, Ana scoate o foaie de hârtie și un stilou.
En: Finally, Ana took out a piece of paper and a pen.

Ro: Scrie "Salut, eu sunt Ana," și îi arată lui Mihai.
En: She wrote "Hi, I'm Ana," and showed it to Mihai.

Ro: Mihai zâmbește și caută în buzunar ceva cu care să răspundă.
En: Mihai smiled and searched his pocket for something to respond with.

En: Time passed, and they began to use gestures to communicate.

Ro: După câteva ore, lumina se aprinde brusc și liftul pornește din nou.
En: After a few hours, the light suddenly came on, and the elevator started moving again.

Ro: Când ușile se deschid, Ana și Mihai se uită unul la altul și zâmbesc.
En: When the doors opened, Ana and Mihai looked at each other and smiled.

Ro: În ciuda lipsa de conversație verbală, au reușit să creeze o legătură unică.
En: Despite the lack of verbal conversation, they had managed to create a unique connection.

Ro: Ei ies din lift, acum prieteni, și Ana scrie pe ultima ei foaie: "Să ne vedem mâine?"

Ro: Mihai dă din cap afirmativ și face cu mâna "la revedere" înainte de a se despărți.
En: Mihai nodded affirmatively and waved goodbye before parting ways.
