In the most recent episode of Effs to Give on Enquiring Minds, I explore my recent decision to prioritize myself. During a train journey to the doctor, it dawned on me that I had finally uttered the words, "I choose myself and my own path."
It's common for us to compare ourselves to others and desire their lives. However, this realization struck me deeply - if we were to do so, we would lose our own identity. I refuse to lose sight of who I am and the path I've chosen. I've reached a point where I've overcome various challenges and I'm content with where I stand. Why would I opt for something unknown when there's no guarantee it's actually better? It might be suitable for someone else, but not for me.
