Through a reading of Sellars' "Philosophy and the Scientific Image of Man", we discuss the true underlying worldview conflict in philosophy of mind and philosophy itself, overcoming mind-body dualism, the irreducibility of the manifest image, and Sellars' hope for the scientific image to take precedence without destroying the manifest image.
