This week's guest talks turkey! DISCO TURKEYS, that is! A co-owner and President of Gameday Operations of the Carolina Disco Turkeys, Greg Sullivan joins the Lounge!
The Disco Turkeys are a first-year team in the All-American Amateur Baseball Association (AAABA), and Greg talks about how the team came about! What led him to want to take ownership of a baseball team? What did he do before this venture? WHERE IN THE WORLD DID THE NAME DISCO TURKEYS COME FROM FOR THE NAME? He answers them all!
Richey asks how they go about getting the players for the team. Since they are an amateur baseball league, where do the players get housed? In a year that we've gone through, Greg tells about the hurdles that come from that, and what they are doing to try and keep everyone safe according to guidelines.
Sam brings up that they are in The Lounge, and they have the Disco Turkeys owner hanging out, and that SHOULD mean there should be SOME SORT of official relationship... Greg agreed! SO, the Carolina Disco Turkeys became the Official Team of the 500 Section Lounge! We have audio proof... IT HAPPENED, and IT IS BINDING... we think!
