In this episode of Project Management Office Hours, PMO Joe and his guest, Evalyne Cambron discuss a wide range of Project Management topics including, Remote/Virtual Project Management, Risk & Issue Management, Giving back to the Community, Mentoring, and Project Success Stories.
Joe begins the show praising Dr. James T Brown for his presentation on Change Management delivered at the PMI Phoenix Chapter May Dinner Meeting. Joe then introduces Evalyne and they discuss the Veterans Project Management Mentoring Program which is sponsored by THE PMO SQUAD, Vets2PM, and Veterans2Work. Evalyne is a Mentor in the program, and she walks us through how Mentors have been influential in her life, including Olenka Cullinan. Giving back to the community plays an important role in Evalyne’s life. She holds a Board position with the Candle Wishes Foundation Phoenix location. We also discuss Project Management Best Practices and tools such as a Risk Log, RAID Log, and Stakeholder Communication. Evalyne shares a few of her biggest career successes including leading Projects with big returns for IBM and American Express.
