The Simple Walk – 50 Days of Light
Day 24 – Run With Endurance
Hebrews 12:1–2 (KJV)
“Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith…”
⸻
Podcast/Devotional Description:
This is not a sprint. It’s a race of endurance. Today’s word comes straight to the tired, the burdened, the distracted, and the discouraged. You were not called to run alone — and you were never meant to run in your own strength.
In Day 24, Pastor Barbara Duffey Hammonds reminds us that we are surrounded by a cloud of witnesses who already crossed their finish lines… and they are cheering us on. Let go of the weight. Lay aside the sin. And keep your eyes on Jesus — the One who started your race and who will carry you to the end.
⸻
•Running with patience and endurance
•Laying aside every weight
•Fixing our eyes on Jesus
•Finishing the race God set before us
•Overcoming weariness and discouragement
