"For about twenty-five years, I’ve led a double life; one as the acupuncturist and healer José Lacey, the other as the award-winning horror and dark fantasy author, Joseph D’Lacey. These two identities were almost never seen in the same room together, except by family and close friends. However, living through the so-called Covid Era caused me to completely rethink both aspects of my career and my place in the world. Quite suddenly, it wasn’t about me any more; it was about what I could do to assist in the great awakening that we’re living through."
