The Book of Daniel is called in the Latin "the Prophecy of Daniel," written by Daniel in the sixth century BC. The name “Daniel” means “God is my judge.” The Holy Spirit reveals in the book of Daniel God’s sovereign control over the kingdoms of men (Daniel 1:21, 4:17) and reveals through the life of Daniel to convince you that every detail of your life is continually woven together for good to fulfill His designed purpose. (Romans 8:28)
The book of Daniel lets you see through the lens of God’s sovereign control how the Holy Spirit and power of God are operating on, around, and through Daniel, stirring him and the minds of those who hear him most holy emotions to accomplish His events. (1 Corinthians 2:4) Daniel teaches that God is sovereign and able to sustain His children even in adverse circumstances.
Daniel’s story in Chapter 1 clearly shows that when you focus your attention and expectation on God that you always, under all circumstances, have whatever you need —every moment and in every way. (Hebres12:2, 2 Corinthians 9:8) God can even use the hands of your mortal enemies to deliver your needs! Nothing is too difficult for your God to do for you. (Jeremiah 32:17)
