Naa Ardua Flohic is the creator behind Paper Flo Designs.
She helps crafters learn how to use digital art to make handmade craft projects for their families and friends.
While living in France as an ex-pat mom, she started making digital illustrations (also known as svg files) as a way to use her artistic skills and be creative every day.
She saw that she could reach people with her art and help fellow artists, crafters, and small businesses with their projects.
She started creating .SVG designs and selling them online. She now has over 10,000 sales in her Etsy shop.
All of this while she was still working a 9-to-5 job.
Now she runs her business as a full-time mompreneur, doing school pick-ups and drop-offs and running a household from abroad.
TAKEAWAYS:
Naa Ardua’s superpower is showing up just as she is, especially on video. As she has used video to grow her business and to communicate with her audience and customers, and authenticity has become a value (and a reason why her clients buy from her) in her business.
Naa Ardua has landed on video being the main method in which she communicated with her audience because it’s the easiest option for her. Being a visual person, she finds writing to take more time than necessary and not something she enjoys doing. She’s gone all in on video, which has in turn, helped her to create a loyal audience that buys her products.
Naa Ardua uses video everywhere she is able. From customer emails, to live videos to teach drawing techniques, even podcast pitches (including for this podcast!), she uses video in every format she is able. It helps her audience to see her, hear the passion and tone in her voice, and develop the know, like, trust factor so much faster.
