Mark Grimaldi, Executive Producer of The Leslie Marshall Show, guest hosts for Leslie this hour.
Mark is joined by Han Chen, the International Climate Advocate with the Natural Resource Defense Council’s International and Climate & Clean Air programs.
They discuss COP21, which is a crucial Climate Conference of 195 countries taking place at the end of this month. The goal of the conference is "to achieve a legally binding agreement, with universal participation among all nations, to keep global warming below what most scientists say is the critical threshold of 2 degrees Celsius of warming." (Source: http://tinyurl.com/ojpy2jv).
Han and Mark also discuss an article that Han wrote for the NRDC where she gave the countries that are participating in the conference 'Report Cards.' The report cards evaluate each country's national climate pledge ahead of COP21.
