This week we are joined by Dr. Javeed Sukhera, Psychiatrist with a focus in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in London, ON. In this episode, we walk through Dr. Sukhera’s journey to and through medicine, which featured many international stops along the way. We then discuss his speciality and the clinics he runs for different branches of child and adolescent mental health. We dive into some of the fascinating research that Dr. Sukhera is working on and how it relates to his practice. Next, we talk about his various roles outside of his practice, including his role at the AAMC, on the London Police Board, and as current President of the Ontario Psychiatry Association. Finally, we discuss mental health as it relates to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, for those in both the hospital and at home.
