Danny Freeman originally thought he wanted to be a fundamentalist Christian minister. After realizing that ministry wasn't his calling, he spent about 15 years in public education – first as a teacher and then as an administrator. 

During the pandemic, Danny turned to writing and completed his first novel, The You I which debuts on July 12, 2022.
