Buttercup is a Norwegian fairy tale about a chubby, quick-witted boy whose insatiable curiosity keeps landing him inside a witch's sack. Three times the headless witch lures him with promises of silver gifts, and three times Buttercup must think fast to escape her cooking pot. Each visit raises the stakes, until the third capture brings him straight to the witch's home with no chance to slip away on the road. What follows is a darkly comic battle of wits where Buttercup turns every threat into a trap of his own making.
