Bryan Salmond always knew he would work in sports! Growing up in Vallejo, Ca. He has love for all sports although baseball was his first love. Moving to Seattle, the environment elevated a new love of basketball. After high school Bryan's hoop dreams take a tragic turn after an injury keeps him out of college a few years. That didn't stop him from getting into school at Western Washington and keeping his laser focus to bring us sports news! Bryan applied for the broadcasting communications program and was selected. As a part of this exchange program it took him to Florida for a year and the rest is history as they say! Bryan's relocated to Atlanta and got his first job in sports media at CNN Sports Illustrated.
Life in sports Bryan learned quickly you have to be willing to travel and that he did, working in many markets NO, ATL & Vegas twice to name a few! We talk to him about some of his best interviews and some of his not so good news moments! You will be surprised who was the best interview and how all Kings are not noble. We stroll down memory lane to talk about Kobe Bryant, Dr Jay & Zion.
We talk about "Year of the black QB" as Bryan played QB in his younger days and if superbowl LIV MVP Black QB Patrick Mahomes understands his role in the #yotbqb We talk trash about Reno as we are suppose to as Las Vegas residents. Then we get into media #BEEF: Athletes vs Media; Print vs TV and the competitiveness of each channel; Ron Burgundy & boys pop by the studio. LOL
Sports Night in Las Vegas is the show Bryan Salmond host with other anchors Amber Dixon & Jesse Merrick the best sports team in Las Vegas! It was the 1st ever sports show here in Las Vegas. The show is every Sunday night at 11:30pm pst link is below if you not in Las Vegas. Bryan remind us that while the show is once a week he's on air Monday - Thursday for the regular nightly news.
