SANGOMA: The Break Up Whisperer is all about break ups. Not just this episode. The whole show! We'll talk about breaking up from nuts to bolts, from inside and outside, from up and down, we're going to dive into the social, cultural, political, economic, spiritual, and even biological significance of breaking up. 

During this episode we'll talk in general about why break ups are such a big deal for so many people. Break ups are really common life events that are likely to happen to pretty much everybody so why all the pearl clutching and hand wringing? Why do we talk about break ups in hushed, gossipy tones and judgmental whispers (ooooh, child, you know what he did). Why do celebrity break ups dominate the tabloids and bring in high ratings for reality shows? Why can the end of a private relationship become a public spectical that brings a community to its knees? 

Join me and my guest, the musician and actor Lex RocHart, as we kick off SANGOMA: The Break Up Whisperer and try to figure out what makes break ups such a big deal.
