In this episode we continue studying the Book of Exodus. In this episode Bezaleel makes the ark. We note that an ark is a box. Strong’s Bible Dictionary says, that an ark is a box for collecting things, a chest, or a coffin.

We note that when our forefathers died they often said, they were going to be gathered unto their fathers. Jacob told his sons that he was to be gathered with his people when he died. He then, commanded them to bury him with Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Rebekah and Leah.

Here's the text:

Genesis 49:28 All these are the twelve tribes of Israel: and this is it that their father spake unto them, and blessed them; every one according to his blessing he blessed them.

Genesis 49:29 And he charged them, and said unto them, I am to be gathered unto my people: bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite,

Genesis 49:30 In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a possession of a buryingplace.

Genesis 49:31 There they buried Abraham and Sarah his wife; there they buried Isaac and Rebekah his wife; and there I buried Leah.

They were all gathered or collected together in the cave or grave, foreshadowing the believers, position in Christ.

We note that Jesus said, whoever believes in Him shall never die. Jesus is the ark in whom we abide. And whoever believes in him, shall be raised from death to life because He is the resurrection.

In John chapter 11 Jesus told Martha, whoever believed in him would never die.

John 11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

John 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

John 11:26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

John 11:27 She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.

Jesus said if we hear his word we pass from death to life. To hear means to receive and do.

Here's the text:

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Bezaleel also made the altar of incense which represents prayer.

We note that prayer may be seen as a legal term. Barraron's Law Dictionary says legally, "prayer" is a request for relief presented in the form of pleadings which are legal facts or statements related to the plaintiffs cause.

God has given man his judgments. He’s revealed case law from which man can make his petitions for relief against his adversaries.

In man’s case judgment has been rendered. He can now petition the High Court of Heaven, asking for relief from any illegal encroachment, or failure of the enemy to comply with the written judgment.

We’ve been told the prince of this world has been cast out, and all power in heaven and on earth has been given to One Man, One King and He is Jesus the Christ.

His name is above all other names and He will dispatch his angels, who are his deputies to enforce the laws and judgments of the Living God, especially when His people "pray."

So John reminds us to pray and have confidence in the Son of God because He is the one who answers our prayers and hears our petitions.

We should have confidence because we have eternal life, indicating, we are citizens of Heaven, with the right to petition the court for relief.

Here’s the text:

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

1 John 5:15 And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Since we know that God hears our petitions, for relief in the High Court of Heaven, BECAUSE we are citizens of heaven. John reminds us to make sure we pray for those in sin, for God will surely answer this prayer.

1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

1 John 5:19 And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

1 John 5:20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 John 5:21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
