The first take is the hardest
But now its behind me.
When i delivered a speech last year on powell river i was nervous. So many impressive people in the audience. The first time i ran for village council i didnt have the confidence to vote for myself, worried about how being pregnant with my youngest child would overshadow my abilty to do the job to the best of my ability. That early fail helped me understand we all bring what we bring, skills, background, & politics. I know better than i did then, and today's challanges become tomorrow learning. Now i can honestly and humbly say i am ready, willing and able to meet the needs to the positions i seek and be a mentor to others on their own public service journey's. Thanks for your time and support.
