Even though we still do have sports being played on TV, there's plenty to discuss when it comes to the Philadelphia Flyers, this past season and what the future may hold for the team. The question is: are the Flyers really that good? This week, Kelly Hinkle from the BSH Radio podcast and BroadStreetHockey.com joined us for a discussion about this team, the lack of hockey and how it stinks this Flyers team likely won't have a shot to make a Stanley Cup run this season.
But first, we talked about sporting events we cannot wait to attend once our social distancing practices are over. (approx. 8:45)
From there, we discussed the highs and lows of this past Sixers season, and what really stood out to us. (approx. 15:00)
We then dove into some Eagles talk and specifically the wide receiver position, why the front office hasn't addressed this position in free agency, and what we can expect prior to or during the NFL Draft. (approx. 23:10)
This week on the Highbrow Segment, the topic we discussed was the manner in which collegiate athletics are now going to change in the coming years due to COVID-19. (approx. 33:30)
On the Lowbrow Segment, we dished out a list of 3 memories from various sporting events and experiences at Veterans Stadium. (approx. 42:25)
What we're throwing down on the Table this week is an in-depth interview with Kelly Hinkle from BSH Radio and Broad Street Hockey. First and foremost, Kelly's thoughts on whether or not we should cut bait on the current NHL season. From there, we moved onto the pivotal moment that propelled this Flyers team to becoming Stanley Cup contenders. What will be the impacts of Wade Allison and Tanner Laczynski? How much credit should fans give Ron Hextall for where this Flyers team is today? All of this and much more on the Table this week (approx. 57:25)
