The USS Nan-Shan was part of the 61 Cygni Task Force sent to counter the UPP attack believed to be aimed at Fort Nebraska. When the fleet was never heard from again it was presumed lost. Now, the Nan-Shan has mysteriously re-appeared. Chimera squad and the rest of 2nd Section are sent in to investigate and find out where the ship has been and what happened to the rest of the fleet.
