have you seen these DRUMEO videos on YouTube, they find a song that a drummer hasn't heard yet and remove the drum track and play it for them. Then has the drummer write his own and plays along, usually changing the whole complexion of the song. It's just really interesting and shows how a drummer can change the personality of a band.
