Good evening everyone! I’m Gail Nobles. I had no idea that Aaliyah was a Chicago Bulls supporter and a Michael Jordan fan, until I saw an old clip of Aaliyah talking about Michael Jordan, saying that she was sad to see him go and how he is a phenomenon. How he had an incredible career. She said if that’s what he wanted to do, she would support him all the way. That he worked hard and that he should relax. That it’s time for him to sit back and watch some games. I’m sure this was probably during the time Michael Jordan was suppose to retire.

Hmm! Aaliyah a Michael Jordan fan. Well, me and Aaliyah didn’t have nothing in common there! I was never a Michael Jordan fan because he was always winning. And I wanted to see some other team beat the Bulls for once. And Jordan knew that nobody was going to beat him in basketball. That’s why I wanted him and the Bulls to get beat.

But you know, Jordan’s alright. He played on my favorite college basketball team, The Tar Heels. And he’s kin to someone that married into my family. But I still wanted Jordan to lose.
I can’t say that Aaliyah didn’t have good taste. Michael Jordan was the greatest.

It was nice that Aaliyah spoke on Michael Jordan while she was alive. She understood that he worked hard and she supported him in his decision of leaving. Before Aaliyah left us, she knew that she worked hard too in her singing career. She’s resting now herself. Aaliyah has done well in her career.
