"Absolutely", stressed Chris David, bass player for Majestica (formerly Reinxeed) when asked if fans will be happy with Above The Sky, the bands first album in six years. "It's pure, true power metal for sure. I think it's more old school power metal than the earlier Reinxeed records but you still have all these big symphonic elements in there so I think it's a crowd pleaser".Without an album since A New World in 2013, David says the band definitely felt the pressure to make a solid comeback album of sorts."Oh yes", he agreed, "because the last one we weren't really satisfied with. We think it's pretty bad actually (laughs) so we felt we really needed to make it the best we possibly could so we took a lot of time and put it into this album".After a successful career as Reinxeed, David says the decision to change the name to Majestica was essential to the bands' future ambitions."When we started the recording process we thought that when we ended in 2013 there was so many negative feelings and we didn't want to do Reinxeed again", he surmised, "but we still wanted to play together. When we started recording we called the band something else and that was just for fun to get rid of the Reinxeed name because when we took the break there was a lot of things happening and everything was negative. There was bad internal issues and outside issues with labels etc so there was so many things and we didn't want to do this any more.
