Ro: Într-o dimineață însorită, aerul proaspăt aducea mirosuri de legume proaspete și brânză de țară în Piața Obor.
En: On a sunny morning, the fresh air brought scents of fresh vegetables and country cheese to Obor Market.

Ro: Andrei și Mihai mergeau împreună cu Elena.
En: Andrei and Mihai were walking together with Elena.

Ro: Ei voiau să găsească cele mai bune produse pentru o masă de familie.
En: They wanted to find the best products for a family meal.

Ro: — Elena, unde mergem prima dată? întreabă Mihai.
En: — Elena, where are we going first? asked Mihai.

Ro: — Hai la standul de legume! răspunde Elena, hotărâtă.
En: — Let’s go to the vegetable stand! responded Elena, determined.

Ro: Elena era bucuroasă.
En: Elena was happy.

Ro: La piață, găseai cele mai bune roșii și castraveți.
En: At the market, you could find the best tomatoes and cucumbers.

Ro: Andrei a văzut standul de legume și a arătat cu degetul:
En: Andrei spotted the vegetable stand and pointed:

Ro: — Uite, Elena! Acolo sunt roșiile!
En: — Look, Elena! There are the tomatoes!

Ro: Elena a zâmbit.
En: Elena smiled.

Ro: A mers repede spre stand și a ales cele mai mari și mai roșii roșii.
En: She quickly walked over to the stand and chose the biggest and reddest tomatoes.

Ro: Mihai a luat un coș mare și l-a umplut cu castraveți și ardei.
En: Mihai took a big basket and filled it with cucumbers and bell peppers.

Ro: Produselor proaspete li se adăuga mirosul ierbii și al pământului umed.
En: The fresh products were accompanied by the smell of grass and wet earth.

Ro: — Am nevoie și de brânză! spuse Elena.

Ro: — Știu un loc bun, aproape de aici, răspunse Andrei.
En: — I know a good place, close by, replied Andrei.

Ro: După ce au terminat cu legumele, au mers la standul de lactate.
En: After they finished with the vegetables, they went to the dairy stand.

Ro: Acolo, bătrânul Ionuț vindea brânză de vacă și brânză de oaie.
En: There, old Ionuț was selling cow cheese and sheep cheese.

Ro: Elena a gustat din ambele.
En: Elena tasted both.

Ro: — E delicioasă! Vreau un kilogram din fiecare, zise ea.
En: — It's delicious! I want a kilogram of each, she said.

Ro: Ionuț a zâmbit și i-a dat brânza.
En: Ionuț smiled and handed her the cheese.

Ro: Mihai a privit în jur și a văzut borcanele cu smântână și unt.
En: Mihai looked around and saw jars of sour cream and butter.

Ro: — Elena, nu vrei și smântână? întreabă el.
En: — Elena, don't you want sour cream too? he asked.

Ro: — Ba da! Ai dreptate, răspunse Elena.
En: — Yes! You're right, replied Elena.

Ro: Au cumpărat și smântână și au pornit înapoi către mașină.
En: They bought the sour cream as well and headed back to the car.

Ro: Andrei a deschis portbagajul și au pus cumpărăturile înăuntru.
En: Andrei opened the trunk, and they put the groceries inside.

Ro: Plin de mulțumire, Andrei a spus:
En: Filled with satisfaction, Andrei said:

Ro: — Azi va fi o masă minunată!
En: — Today’s meal will be wonderful!

Ro: — Da, toată familia va fi încântată, spuse Mihai
En: — Yes, the whole family will be delighted, said Mihai.

Ro: La final, s-au dus toți trei acasă, bucuroși.
En: In the end, all three went home, happy.

Ro: Masa de familie a fost plină de râsete și bucurie, mulțumită cumpărăturilor făcute de Elena.
En: The family meal was full of laughter and joy, thanks to Elena’s shopping.
