Aliza’s story is one of resilience and survival, resonating with Jews and non-Jews alike. Aliza’s journey is nothing short of extraordinary. Forced into hiding in Holland during WWII, she endured unimaginable hardship as her family was forced into separate locations, including living in an underground bunker in the Dutch woods. Tragically, her father, Richard Levy, lost his life at Auschwitz.

Today, at 81 years old, she is not only a survivor but also a Rabbinic Pastor, College Professor, Hebrew teacher, Playwright, Actor and former Podiatric physician. Her remarkable resilience and dedication to educating future generations about the Holocaust earned her the Torch of Freedom Awards at the 2024 Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi earlier this month.

Aliza joins us to share her personal journey as a ‘Hidden Child’ and as a child of Holocaust survivors. Her mission to preserve the memory of the Holocaust and educate others about its horror is more crucial now than ever in the face of rising antisemitism worldwide.
