He has delighted the taste buds of thousands who came through the White House doors for formal and state functions at the People's House. Emmy Award Winning Broadcaster, Victoria Gaither, talks with Executive Pastry Chef, Ronald Mesnier, about his time at the White House. Mesnier talks about the pressures and joys of turning out pastries, cakes, cookies, and other decadent desserts. The Master Pastry Chef served under five presidents. He explains to Victoria about research he did when baking for New Zealand diplomats. An author as well, Mesnier, was on hand at the White House Historical Association to sign copies of his book The White House in Gingerbread: Memories & Recipes.
