For our summer series, Life in the Spirit: It’s Complicated, we continue for another week in St. Paul’s letter to the Romans. Paul begins Romans 8 right where we left off last week, with the ongoing struggle in which we’re engaged as we strive to live our lives as followers of Jesus. In this chapter he sets up the “flesh” versus the “Spirit” and challenges us to consider on which of those we are setting our minds. He lays out the pros and the cons in pretty convincing fashion. We’ll put our own minds to work on this to hear what the Lord is expecting of us.
