Since 2012, he has immersed himself in entrepreneurial ventures, primarily within the oil and gas sector. He served as Account Manager for the Bakken branch of Wood Group, a multinational energy service company based in Aberdeen, Scotland. During his six-year tenure, Silas managed financial operations and gained deep insights into the manpower challenges facing the petroleum industry.In 2018, Silas founded Red Fox Staffing Agency LLC, connecting over 500 Bakken workers to opportunities in the oil and gas field. He expanded his entrepreneurial portfolio in 2019 as Co-founder of SandPro LLC, where he spearheaded the development of an innovative sand filtration process, addressing critical issues in frac sand utilization. By leveraging strategic partnerships, Silas further established wellhead and automation divisions, enhancing operational efficiency in the sector.In 2021, Silas Co-founded the North Dakota branch of Atlantic Energy Partners, where he now serves as Vice President. That same year, he shifted focus to the entertainment industry, founding X-Golf Minot. As President and major shareholder, Silas has grown the X-Golf brand into smaller, underserved markets, exemplifying his commitment to community development. X-Golf Minot features six state-of-the-art simulators, weekly leagues, lessons by a PGA-certified instructor, and a seamless food and beverage experience.
