Before Loving v Virginia there were four court cases that challenged anti-miscegenation laws in their own states. Can you name them?
Pace v Alabama (1883) Perez v Sharp (1948) Naim v Naim (1955) and McLaughlin v Florida (1964) all challenged racist legal laws that banned any interracial romantic contact. Two of these four cases won their legal battle.
