There was once something that Latvians shared with ancient Romans. It was the passion for watching big muscular men fight each other till the end. Latvians too were excited for heroes and villains. To cheer for and shower with roses the former while booing and mercilessly stoning the latter. Because 100 years ago Latvians lived their own legendary age of gladiators. This was the time when instead of ice hockey or basketball Latvians were dying to see professional wrestling.
