Welcome to Two Wood for a Wheat. Today's episode Deluge features the Dice Tower Retreat and Simone Luciani's new game Barrage.
We were unable to hold back the flow of information on games played at the Dice Tower Retreat. Tony talks an unquantifiable number of games (it's nine), including the quick and dirty Q.E., an auction game where the bets are only limited by your understanding of Latin prefixes, and the cult classic Dune, where Tony rode the Fremen clan to victory like some sort of large subterranean annelid.
We finally played Barrage, a game that Tony has talked about since our very first episode. It is a unique game, put together by some of Tony's favorite designers. We couldn't say enough about it and its many pipes, dams, and resources.
Tony also gives his fond farewells to Chicago as he ships himself off to New Jersey, land of shores and gardens.
