mostra di piùHis practice also draws from experiences as a lifelong vocalist and musician, puppet theatre, toy theater, installations and live performance, as well as numerous collaborations with choreographers and filmmakers.
Since his first tape and radio experiments made during the 1980s, Whitehead has created a long list of plays, hybrid documentaries and acoustic adventures for the BBC, Radio France, Deutschland Radio, Australia’s ABC, NPR and other broadcasters.
Whitehead co-edited the anthology Wireless Imagination: Sound, Radio and the Avant-Garde, published by MIT Press in 1992, and his philosophical essays and speculative fictions have appeared in a wide variety of publications, from Ear magazine in the early 1980s through to the recently published Oxford Handbook of Radio and Podcasting.
