Willowbrook State School was an overcrowded “snake pit“, as Senator Kennedy called it, with not enough staff to take care of thousands of developmentally/intellectually disabled children. An institution of filth, disease, heartbreak, and abuse. In this episode, we’ll go behind the doors of this disgrace of a facility and discover what was really happening to these children when they thought no one was looking.
