The gut brain connection is getting more and more attention, and deservedly so.

In this episode I sit down to talk to Nikkie Windsor on the importance of a healthy gut on not just our mental health, but our health overall, and I hear her story of living with Crohn's disease.

Nikkie Windsor is a Certified Nutritionist, Health Coach, Yoga Breathing Coach, gut health expert and fermentation specialist.

Inspired by her personal journey of living with Crohn’s disease and IBS for over 35 years, Nikkie helps people prioritise their gut health and provides hope for people who feel trapped by chronic disease and those living with bowel disorders.

Within 12 months, Nikkie went from lying in a hospital bed to living in the jungle of Costa Rica where she spent over a decade rediscovering traditional and sustainable living practices and understanding the role that diet, lifestyle and mindset have on her well-being.

Nikkie founded Jungle Goddess Gut Health UK in 2014 selling fermented products and health foods while supporting people with digestive issues and food intolerances.

Since returning to the UK and graduating Nikkie offers personalised coaching programs and continues to share and teach the skills learned in the jungle at talks, demonstrations, and workshops.
