1 Reyes 7: Estableciendo columnas de sabiduría en el hogar.

1 Reyes 7:1-6:
Después Salomón edificó su propia casa en trece años, y terminó toda su casa. Edificó la Casa del Bosque del Líbano, la cual tenía cuarenta y cinco metros de largo, veintidós metros y medio de ancho y trece metros y medio de alto, sobre cuatro hileras de columnas de cedro con vigas de cedro sobre las columnas. Estaba cubierta de cedro encima de las vigas que se apoyaban sobre cuarenta y cinco columnas, quince columnas por hilera. Había tres hileras de ventanas, una ventana frente a otra en grupos de tres. Todas las puertas y ventanas tenían marcos cuadrados, y una ventana estaba frente a otra ventana, en grupos de tres. También edificó el Pórtico de las Columnas, que tenía veintidós metros y medio de largo por trece metros y medio de ancho. Y frente a las columnas de este pórtico, había otro pórtico con columnas, que tenía un alero delante.

Después de que terminó de construir el templo del Señor, Salomón dedicó 13 años en la construcción de su casa. Esto nos muestra que primero hay que construir la casa espiritual y después la personal. Mateo 6:33 dice: “Más bien, busquen primeramente el reino de Dios y su justicia, y todas estas cosas les serán añadidas.”

En la casa de Salomón había diferentes espacios y lugares los cuales había diseñado con muchas columnas esplendorosas. Uno de esos espacios se llamó el pórtico de las columnas. Después contrató un experto en el manejo del bronce para construir dos columnas majestuosas para el templo del Señor, además de los otros elementos de bronce y completar el templo del Señor que eran parte de los rituales sagrados para ofrecer sacrificios y ofrendas al Señor.
Es muy llamativo ver tantas columnas en estas construcciones. Al parecer, para Salomón representaban algo muy importante, ya que en los proverbios de Salomón se menciona que las columnas representan acciones y actitudes que reflejan la sabiduría. Proverbios 9:1 dice: “La sabiduría edificó su casa, labró sus siete columnas.”
El libro de Proverbios está lleno de cualidades como el conocimiento, la paciencia, la prudencia, la sagacidad, la inteligencia, la ciencia, la templanza, el dominio propio, etc. Estas son las diferentes columnas que un ser humano debe desarrollar en su vida para poder tener una vida llena de bendiciones de Dios, de éxito y de prosperidad.
A veces solo nos conformamos con aceptar a Dios en nuestras vidas, no ponemos nuestra parte para agudizar nuestro entendimiento para crecer y madurar. Debemos reforzar el templo que estamos construyendo para Dios, o sea nuestra vidas, con columnas de madera, piedra y bronce, que son las que fortalecen y embellecen la estructura de nuestras vidas cristianas. Dios se agrada de las vidas establecidas por las columnas de prudencia, inteligencia, sabiduría y sus derivados.

Te animo a que leas Proverbios, que más adelante vamos a estudiar, pero por ahora puedes incorporar en tu lectura diaria, leyendo un capítulo por día, y en un mes terminas de leerlos todos.
Además de la lectura y el estudio diario de la Biblia, el escuchar consejos de personas sabias y prudentes te llenará de sabiduría y aprenderás a establecer diferentes columnas para afirmar tu hogar. Rodéate de ellas, búscalas, consulta con ellos cuando tengas dudas o quieras afirmar algo en tu vida y en tu hogar. Examina sus vidas y sus familias y aprende de ellos. También puedes consultar a Dios. Establece columnas de una buena comunicación, de buen trato, de prudencia en las palabras, de dominio propio, de disciplina, etc.

1 Kings 7:1-6:
But Solomon took thirteen years to build his own house; so he finished all his house. He also built the House of the Forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, its width fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, with four rows of cedar pillars, and cedar beams on the pillars. And it was paneled with cedar above the beams that were on forty-five pillars, fifteen to a row. There were windows with beveled frames in three rows, and window was opposite window in three tiers. And all the doorways and doorposts had rectangular frames; and window was opposite window in three tiers. He also made the Hall of Pillars: its length was fifty cubits, and its width thirty cubits; and in front of them was a portico with pillars, and a canopy was in front of them.

In Solomon's house there were different spaces and places which he had designed with many splendid columns. One of those spaces was called the portico of the columns. He then hired an expert in the handling of bronze to build two majestic columns for the temple of the Lord, in addition to the other bronze elements and complete the temple of the Lord that were part of the sacred rituals to offer sacrifices and offerings to the Lord.
It is very striking to see so many columns in these constructions. Apparently, for Solomon they represented something very important, since in Solomon's proverbs it is mentioned that the columns represent actions and attitudes that reflect wisdom. Proverbs 9:1 says: “Wisdom has built her house, she has hewn out her seven pillars;..”
The book of Proverbs is full of qualities such as knowledge, patience, prudence, sagacity, intelligence, science, temperance, self-control, etc. These are the different columns that a human being must develop in his life in order to have a life full of God's blessings, success and prosperity.
Sometimes we only settle for accepting God in our lives, we don't do our part to sharpen our understanding to grow and mature. We must reinforce the temple that we are building for God, that is, our lives, with columns of wood, stone and bronze, which are the ones that strengthen and beautify the structure of our Christian lives. God is pleased with the lives established by the columns of prudence, intelligence, wisdom and their derivatives.

I encourage you to read Proverbs, which we are going to study later, but for now you can incorporate it into your daily reading, reading one chapter a day, and in a month you will finish reading them all.
In addition to reading and studying the Bible daily, listening to advice from wise and prudent people will fill you with wisdom and you will learn to establish different columns to affirm your home. Surround yourself with them, look for them, consult with them when you have doubts or want to affirm something in your life and in your home. Examine their lives and their families and learn from them. You can also consult God. Establishes columns of good communication, good treatment, prudence in words, self-control, discipline, etc.
