Samuel was going to Bama to prepare the sacrifice and eat with the people and Saul intercepted him on the way. Samuel expected Saul and told him his animals were recovered and to eat dinner and the spend the night, and Samuel told Saul he was chosen by God to be king over Israel (privately).
