Alright folks, let's dive into the cosmic weather report brought to you by the U.S. Department of Commerce and NOAA's Space Weather Prediction Center.
First up, we've got some geomagnetic activity observations and forecasts. It looks like we're experiencing some mild conditions with a Kp index around 3, staying below NOAA Scale levels. Expect a slight increase to around 4 over the next three days, so nothing too wild in that department.
Moving on to solar radiation, things are pretty chill with levels below storm thresholds. However, keep an eye out for a small chance of a minor solar radiation storm, around 10-15%, as we have two sizable sunspot regions making their way towards the center disk.
Now, in terms of radio blackouts, we've had a few hitting R1 levels recently. The forecast shows a consistent 55% chance of R1 to R2 events over the next three days, with a minor chance of anything higher.
So there you have it, folks - a mix of mild geomagnetic activity, a slight chance of a solar radiation storm, and some radio blackouts in the forecast. Nothing too extreme, but always good to stay informed. For more details, check out the link in our show notes.
