Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins. -Proverbs 10:12

This verse highlights the stark contrast between hatred and love. Hatred fuels conflict, creating division and strife, while love seeks unity, forgiveness, and restoration. Love doesn’t ignore wrongdoing but chooses grace over retaliation, working to heal and reconcile rather than stir up discord.

When we love others as God loves us, we reflect His character, covering offenses with forgiveness and seeking peace. This kind of love has the power to transform relationships and bring harmony where conflict once reigned.

Take time tonight to examine how you respond to conflict. Breathe out anger or resentment, and breathe in God’s love. Ask Him to help you choose love over hatred and to be a peacemaker in your relationships.

ADORATION: Praise God for His love that covers all sins and for His example of forgiveness and grace. Rejoice in His mercy, which brings reconciliation and peace to your relationship with Him and others.

CONFESSION: Reflect on times when anger or hatred has stirred up strife in your relationships. Confess these moments to God and ask for His help to respond with love and forgiveness.

THANKSGIVING: Thank God for the gift of His love, which empowers you to extend grace and seek peace in your relationships. Express gratitude for the times His love has brought healing and restoration.

SUPPLICATION: Father, teach me to choose love over hatred in every situation. Help me to forgive as You’ve forgiven me and to be a source of peace and unity in my relationships. Let Your love flow through me to cover offenses and bring harmony to those around me.

Dear Lord, We know that You discipline those You love. You offer us guidance and protection through discipline, and we become better followers of You. Help us to embrace the times when You correct us. And, as parents, empower us to lovingly discipline our own children. We want to mirror Your love in all things and in every relationship. Give us guidance, Lord, and make us better every day. In Jesus’ name, Amen.🙏🏾
